Seriously, I fucking LOVED hip hop before the Wu but the Wu just… I can’t even put it into words - it’s like hip hop polarized into this 9 man unit and blew the collective minds of the whole culture out of the water.

I spent more time than I’m willing to admit digging through crates in dirty, disgusting bullshit-stores looking for that really rare Wu-shit in my teens and looking back now I wouldn’t trade those memories for the world.

I can’t really decide whether it’s straight awesome or just plain pathetic but the Wu changed my life, they made me go from just buying CD’s like your average consumer to actually doing the knowledge on everything from obscure pop-culture references mentioned in the lyrics to digging for the sample-sources and so on and so forth…

Probably got hundreds of memories involving Wu-Tang-music in one way or the other but I’ve already written a novel about absolutely nothing right here so I’m going to stop before I start sounding like an old fart.

Wu-Tang definitely influenced us back in college. All of a sudden people who didn’t like kung-fu movies were watching them and people didn’t wear Tims and hoodies were wearing them, etc. And of course, everyone wanted to form a group and rhyme. The impact/feel at the time was amazing.
