Around the time when the Green Eyed Bandit was hittin switches.
This video shows Erick giving no respect to the interviewer on the phone followed by a little Redman segment. Also includes a rare clip from the Hardcore video.
What ever happened to that Redman logo??
This clip is from The Art Of Moving Butts Live in Europe cassette.
Performing one of the more slept on tribe tunes “Rhythm”, this goes down as a pretty classic show.
One thing was for sure. Phife did not seem to have much presence in the group back then, he came in and out during the performances, holding his staff (a gimmick which didn’t last long). I guess after Jarobi decided to take up his career in culinary arts, Phife stepped in.
Wow. I know my man Adrian was stoked when these 4 young rap virtuosos rocked the Much environment clad in a gang of TBG gear. For the record, I remember going into the old retail space just off Bathurst and drooling over the same grey wool cap that Dinco is wearing. However, I was like 16 and OWG(one white guy) so I kept it moving.
Guest appearance by Geronimo of the Rumpletilskinz. I definitely ganked that CD from a good friend years after it came out and it was still hard to get into but hey, he’s got a dope toque on! Listen to the Mushroom Talk is still a big track though.
Damn. I’m going to go and download that Keep It Movin’ track that came out on one of Busta’s albums just so I can feel like they never broke up.
Sidenote-Both Dinco and Miloindedance have Myspace pages with new music. Where’s C-Boogie Brown?
Aight yall. Check out the late great Biggie Smalls perform warning back in 94.
I kinda wish they didn’t give out whistles before the show, its killin the audio.
Lovin the use of the megaphone and the guy with the baseball helmet in the front row (John Olerud represent!)
Some west coast flava for all you mark ass busters…
The Setting: Roscoe’s Chicken N Waffles
The Players: Prodeje, Havoc and Mr. Gangstas Paradise himself, LV.
The Group: South Central Cartel
The Meaning: DOPE
How many of you would be walking to the back of the building after hearing what Fredro says at the beginning of this video?
I’m sure you have seen some mosh pits before, but this place erupts once slam drops. With a beast that resembles Tiny Lister running things in there you can definitely watch some people getting laced.
More to come from this performance…
What you are witnessing here is the end of Bās Blasta’s career.
The dude is up there performing his big single “Ain’t Whatcha Do” (produced by the beatnuts), when basically the crowd and the whole BCC turn on him. The crowd is chanting something I can’t make out and buckshot does not look very happy back there. Eventually it gets to the point where Steele from Smif N Wessun just runs up on the performance and punks him right off the stage.
Its sad, but I don’t think he ever recovered from this moment. Bās Blasta, I feel for you…
Today, this insanely obscure clip comes courtesy of my main man Craig from Rap, Lies and Videotape. Ayo Craig, break it down like this:
Given a few minutes on a MTV variety show whose name has been lost to history, Ice T takes you on a walk through Hollywood and shows you why he’s still a star today. Riffing on the people and scenery around him, IceT effortlessly improvises and displays a sharp sense of humor, two of the qualities that any rapper would be wise to cultivate.
Aight, some more material for all my T.O. heads. This segment was shot at D-Day back in the early 90s.We got interviews with DURO, FATCAP, SCAM, Daymon and TROUBLE.
