What the fuck can you really say about Tribe on In Living Color doing Check The Rhime? I got nothing. This song/album ruled my life at this point. You couldn’t and still can’t tell me shit about The Low End Theory.

EDIT..Fuck you Fox announcer.  90210? Come on B!

Not nearly as well-publicized or remembered as the Stop The Violence/Self Destruction project, Krs-One’s H.E.A.L. project was spearheaded by an all-star lineup posse cut and lead off single, H.E.A.L. Yourself. This is a video of the making of that video and features footage from all the artists involved.

My personal favourite is a young Freddie Foxxx breaking down his verse and getting real serious about it. I never realized he was such a ladies man…this is the same guy with burn marks on his hips from his twin glocks! Please don’t come looking for me Bumpy Knucks, I’m just pointing out the depth of your character.

Here is another gem provided by my main man Craig over at Rap, Lies & Videotape. Ayo Craig, kick the ballistics gee:

“The Beastie Boys created an image of hedonistic party animals with their album “Licensed to Ill,” and cemented it with performances like this one, taken from The Late Show with Joan Rivers. The Beasties stumble their way through (You Gotta) Fight for Your Right (To Party) in this clip from 1987.

Watching this sloppy, tangled effort from the group makes you almost forget how much relveance and credibility they once carried along with their intoxicated image.”
