I love the 80’s man. Troop suits, fat rope chains, Kangol bucket hats. Everything about it was amazing, look at the set on stage, the wierd zombie looking guy that introduces Cool J, rhyming over the vocal versions, doing jump kicks on stage (02:33). This stuff is gold.
Wacth LL Cool J peform “I’m Bad” live on the Grammy’s.
Judging by the crowd, not everyone was sold on HipHop at this time, but you know the Pointer Sisters were on board.

now this is legendary right here. 1985 Grammy’s?!! yo, he giving the world a glimpse of the future. like this is whats gonna be poppin in the years to come.
Those people in the crowd can front if they want, but this is history being made.
Look at what LL got on, there’s no nigga that would do that nowadays at the grammys. LL was like fuck that, im doin me. and at that time LL was that nigga, he was the best hands down. that nigga was doin it.

This is actually from the American Music Awards in 1987. The AMA’s were always been a little bit more open to Hip-Hop than the Grammys.

weird zombie guy is Mick Fleetwood from Fleetwood Mac Im almost sure. You should that cat present the Brit awards in ‘88….disasterous
