If you ain’t got something nice to say…eat a fat one.

I have to be totally honest, I forget what this clip is from.  If anyone remembers, put me up on game.  I think it was some Rolling Stone special to be honest, but the production quality is so bonkers that it really doesn’t matter.  Black and White interviews with sick lighting?  Yes please!

Anyways, the clip starts off with a montage of gang and violence related media imagery and then goes right into the interview with Dr. Dre and Snoop talking about 1993 and what it meant to them.  There’s also a bunch of footage thrown in there and they speak on other “issues” as well.  Definitely some quotables.

    Ace,

Thank you , thank you, thank you! Couple observations: when have you seen Snoop this lucid in an interview? He is normally so tore up that his eyes are shut. Dre is so excited about 1993. Listen to them talk about the near future for them and how big it is going to be, then knew how big it was gonna be. It really doesn’t make sense for Dre and Snoop to not have gotten back together for this long. WOW, this is a classic in my mind. I really enjoyed this more than any other piece of video on this site.

hmmmm I could be wrong but I don’t think it was a rolling stone special…. I live in Australia and I have seen it before somewhere, and our influx of this type of material was pretty limited back in the 90’s (no MTV,etc) Is there any chance it was some some sort of bonus section on the Murder Was the Case VHS?

only parts of this were on the Murder Was The Case VHS, but that’s also the where I know it from

I think this was called “The Rolling Stone Year In Review”
Seeing this clip gave me goosebumps for real! I still remember seeing this back when It aired on Fox 29. I remember feeling like I could relate to Dr. Dre when he said he was a fan of Nirvana. That really let me feel comfortable with listening to whatever I wanted without caring about anyone’s opinion… Incredible find! Really appreciate you sharing all of this nostalgic material. RESPECT!
