Kinda late to comment I realize but just to fill in the gaps. I am the creator/producer/director of RapCity. Part of my concept of the programme inspite of MM management messing with the show (CONSTANTLY) was to celebrate hip hop culture--all its elements. There was no instore---I actually chose to do the interview at TBG to also expose some of what Adrian, Rob & Rob were doing as young hip hop entrepreneurs. It was always very important to me to get to the true essence of the music and not just broadcast the marketing hype of the record company. I also chose JB to conduct the interview as the programme was without a host (Michael Williams had left MM) and I was trying to get the company to actually hire someone who knew and cared about the music. Of course, everyone saw how that worked out eventually. Oliver was a good kid but not my choice in anyway to be the host of the programme. All that said, MM's RapCity is being revived in 2011 and I hope that they do it in the spirit that it originated. I won't however hold my breath.

I was at that show... At one point in the show, Lord J said, "Any heads from MISSISSAUGWA in the house?"... The crowd was like, "What?"...
