Obviously, this is a thinly veiled attempt for me to convince Robbie that the Chubbster was a major hitmaker in his time, with back to back party anthems for a couple years. This was never more evident than this year at the Live At The BBQ Reunion party where Kaewonder and I were subjected to hearing ‘Treat ‘Em Right’ 5 times that night played by multiple dj’s. He did have other tracks, guys! Since that night, the phrase “this is more of a shock than Robocop was last year” has been getting some serious run in our conversations.
Big up once again to our man Sean on the footage. I can’t tell if Chubb Rock is just the best lip syncer ever, or if he actually got to have his mic turned on, but it definitely sounds like the vocals are being done live. Only Nia Peeples knows for sure.
