This is one of those things that we will never, ever see again: a HUGE number #1 single about big butts. It’s crazy to think that this track was EVERYWHERE at the time, it wasn’t just some sideshow that Arsenio put on. I bet my mom remembers it.
It’s interesting to think about how BGB is different from today’s booty raps. As Arsenio points out, it also has a positive message about body image. And I think it portrays sex as more equal instead of totally demeaning to women.
