I wouldn’t say this is a video of onyx on In Living Color as much as I’d say it’s a video of Fredro Starr on I.L.C. with Onyx backing him up. To me, any Onyx video would have to have Sticky’s verse to really count..especially in this track.

Regardless, a tight performance by the Bald Hedz and if you listen carefully Fredro switched some lyrics up.  We always love alternate lyrics or when mc’s get sick of the way they wrote a song and change certain things in the verses after recording it. The kind of thing you can only ever see if you are at a live performance or get to see a taped version of one.

Wish it was the whole song though, what a tease. Wait, why are they straight from the desert? I just caught that right before I published this.

EPMD. Party Machine. two words that I would separately never front on, but together? something just don’t seem right. Is it the E and the P’s matching  leather suit/hat combo’s that looks like a couch that got turfed from a low-budget 80’s porn set?  Maybe it’s the fact that they’re LIP-SYNCING? (a pretty common component to a Party Machine performance-correct me if I’m wrong,but I think L.O.N.S performance that we posted awhile back was the only one that didn’t feature the dreaded lip-sync)

Sorry for the rant, but I really can’t figure out what it is that doesn’t sit right with me. EPMD could easily be one of my favorite rap groups of all time (Word to Phife Dawg), and Party Machine’s cool so what happened? Don’t get it twisted, I don’t by any means think this is the worst performance or anything, I guess I just expected more.
