I dont remember Kool G Rap getting too many chances to perform on live TV, which makes this clip a real treat.

I wasn’t sure how the happy-go-lucky Uptown Comedy Club crowd was going to respond when someone like G Rap rolled in. But they threw down, watch the crowd response on “Buck, buck, buck, take that wit cha on the way down”.

I have never been a fan of using a live band in a performance, with acception to The Roots, obviously. But I have to admit, this shit sounds pretty nice. it might not be the livest performance, but still pretty dope.

A phifeless, Tribe Called Quest rocks Dennis Miller Live. Phife Dawg was forced to leave the show for the hospital after having issues with his diabetes.

Q-Tip still makes it happen by covering for Phife on his verse, on top of that he has to deal with a heckler at the end.

BTW, Dennis Miller… He’s down with us. He wasn’t having it with that dude in the crowd.

Holy crap, it’s Rakim. Some absolutely scarce footy here with Rakim in concert at one of Toronto’s legendary venues. Anyone else notice that he always rocked over vocal versions? I can’t recall seeing any performance footy from this era where Rakim isn’t rhyming over the actual track. Hmmm.

Either way, enjoy as Eric B. actually talks and Rakim drops science inbetween concert footage.

This is the first and only time I have ever seen this track performed live. The energy of this track really translates in the live performance. Can anyone tell me what happened to these guys?
